The Mandalorian

Season 2

Art Director

After being assigned selected sets per episode, my role was to turn the concept art into physical art that not only reflects the original design, but also an environment that works for the story being told.

All scenery was either constructed on a traditional soundstage, LED environment soundstage or in a backlot area. The work shown here is primarily focused on the practical, in-camera work that I helped develop for the story.

One of the many challenges working on this project was the creative ways to re-use scenery and make it feel like it was a part of a different ‘world / environment” with very limited timeframes. I am proud to be a member of the Art Department that was nominated for a Production Design Emmy, as well as a WIN for the Excellence in Production Design Award for a One Hour Period or Fantasy Single-Camera Television Series from the Art Directors Guild.
